In celebration of our first Lively Workshop tomorrow, here's a little sneak peak at what we'll be making! We're all about essential oils here at the moment. From incorporating them into our meal prep to experimenting with using essential oils around the home, we love showing you amazing ways to really get the use out of your essential oils. Today, we're looking a 5 DIY's which totally align with this concept, while also being amazing stocking fillers or cute gifts for friends for Christmas! For all of you planning on heading out to our DIY workshop tomorrow, we cannot wait to see you and have a fun morning together!
1. Pillow/Linen Spray for the Best Sleep Ever
Simply combine the water in the bottle with the added essential oils. Stir gently and seal bottle with the mister. Spray 3-4 times onto your pillow before laying down. This is also safe for spritzing lightly onto the body or pajamas.
Another effective blend is: Isagenix Essence Content Blend. This blend of copaiba, orange, grapefruit, bergamot, eucalyptus, juniper, mandarin, lemongrass, citronella and cinnamon bark. Perfect for promoting feelings of satisfaction and relaxation. Add 8 drops for this DIY. We don’t recommend that children ingest any Essence blends, however is suitable for this DIY and direct application with the use of an Application Coconut Oil by Isagenix.
2. Lip Salve from kristinmade
This one is inspired by one of my favourite brands, Kristin Made. Need a way to combine your favourite lipsticks into one amazing shade which also lasts longer? Try this!
Using a knife, remove your lipsticks from their existing containers. Place into a spoon or small saucepan and melt using either a lighter or the element. Pour into small glass container and combine with coconut oil and peppermint oil. Stir gently and leave to set. Apply! This DIY is perfect if you have any lipsticks that have reached the point where you have to actually use a brush to get in there to apply it - trust me, we’ve all had that point of denial that our favourite lipstick is running out! Got a few like this? Mix them together to make a unique new blend!
Note: these oils are known for their invigorating and uplifting qualities - perfect for a morning shower. However, if you’re more of an evening shower type, we recommend either Lavender, Content Blend or Tumbliss Blend from the Isagenix Range. If using a blend, add 8 drops.
Drying Lavender in the Oven
Heat the oven to 100°C and place a thin layer of lavender on an oven tray for approximately 30 minutes, or until dry and brittle.
For a gift idea, add this balt salt recipe to a clear, fillable Christmas Ornament for a super cute gift which you can also hang on the tree!
Drying Rose Petals in the Oven
Heat the oven to 50°C and place a thin layer of rose petals on a sheet of baking paper. Bake for approximately 15-30 minutes or until petals are crisp. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
Combine directly into your 15ml application bottles, and apply whenever desired on the pulse points: wrists, bottom of feet and neck.
Email Morag to place an order on any Isagenix products including the essential oils, blends, application oils or roller bottles.
We hope you love and enjoy these DIY’s as much as we do, they are such an amazing way to immerse yourself with health benefits throughout the day or in certain times of need.
