There are certain life lessons that only experience can teach you. It’s what makes us better at things, more prepared and more interesting people to be around. As children, we have to learn lessons by falling off, making mistakes, and coping with a few bruises. But as we get older the lessons aren’t as easy or as simple as learning how to ride a bike or not to touch a hot pan. I wanted to share a few lessons that I’ve had to learn the hard way, and yet have made the biggest difference in my life. But ultimately, these lessons are what shape you as a person and encourage you to grow in new directions. Check out the full details below!

We could probably all admit that we spend a little too much time on our phones. Whether we’re falling behind in classes, or finding that sitting down with our phone at the end of the night is our new ‘relaxing’, a lot of us seem to fall into a nasty routine with these wonderful devices. Mothering is hard - there is no doubt about that. However in the hustle and bustle of feeding, clothing, changing, picking up from school, and managing a household with your partner, it’s easy to see how self care and a little ‘me time’ can fall through the cracks. Personally, although I’m not a mother myself, I’ll be the first to agree that out of all of us it’s truly the mums out there who deserve the most self care of us all. Considering how much you all give to your children, your partner and the rest of your family or community. It’s the lack of time though, that seems to push self care out of our schedules. There simply doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to fit it all in. And unfortunately, a relaxing bath just cannot seem to take priority over feeding your child! This blog post is all about the self-care you didn’t realise you needed.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Whether your day has been filled with roses and chocolates or avoiding all the other couples in your community I hope it’s been a good one. This blog post however, is something a little more personal, rather than lovey-dovey. Today we’re discussing the power of reflection and the recognition of daily accomplishments. I explain to you my simple (yet life-changing) process of evening reflection and how it’s inspired me on a personal level to feel even more fulfilled by my day-to-day life.
