Deborah and her family have an extra special journey, and we really wanted to share it with you all! We recently interviewed her over email after meeting her at a kid's birthday party over in Australia. Her story (and the company she's created because of it) is really amazing and has provided creative, fun and practical solutions to every parents wishes if they have a child with medical conditions or allergies!
1. Tell us about Mumento! How would you describe it?
"Mumento is or will be the one stop shop for all Medical and Allergy products. Somewhere you can grab everything you need for your child, yourself or your elderly parents."
2. How did your business begin and what called you to develop the products?
"It all began when my daughter was just 5 weeks old. Her nappy changes began to be too frequent, she was vomiting a lot and not her happy self. Doctors originally thought just a virus but within a few days she was unconscious and unresponsive. The Emergency Department was completely lost and confused about her condition as all tests came back clear. We spent over 3 weeks in hospital, one of which was in intensive care.
On the day of discharge they decided to give her a dairy challenge which resulted in us having to stay an extra 2 days while she recovered - she failed that test massively. We were finally released two days before her very first Christmas at 9 weeks old.

Based on the new diagnoses of what they call FPIES, my daughter Sienna is not able to eat anything with cow's milk protein or soy. As Sienna started crawling and I was taking her to parties for her older sisters friends, I needed something to alert other people of her allergy history. Finding something for such a young bub and while teething was hard, so I decided to make something.
This is where Mumento really kicked into gear as I found plenty of parents in the same boat as me!"
So what does Mumento offer?
